Leather Gun Belts - Single and Double LayerSingle Layer Gun Belt
Our one layer custom leather gun belts are made from thick 13-14 oz (+.2 inches) bridle leather. Each belt is hand made in the USA by me. This is high quality dark brown or black bridle leather. The front and back of the belt is finished at the tannery. The edges are beveled, burnished and dyed black. This is a great belt to wear even without a gun. This belt is available in 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 1-3/4" widths. You can also have the ends tapered. Tapered belts are available in 1-1/4" tapered to 3/4", 1-1/2" tapered to 3/4", 1" or 1-1/4" and 1-3/4" tapered to 3/4", 1" or 1-1/4". When ordering tapered leather gun belts please order the buckle to match the width of the tapered end. Our two layer custom leather gun belts are made for those who need the additional firmness to support a heavier firearm and accessories without sagging. This belt is made from two layers of 9-10 oz harness leather. The top layer is 1/4" narrower than the bottom layer and goes around the back of the belt to provide the needed strength of a double layer belt but with less weight and bulk. This reinforced design also makes it easier to go through belt loops, and is a comfortable belt to wear. The belt shown above right is 1-1/4" wide with a stainless steel buckle. The bottom layer is black and the top layer is medium brown with brown stitching. The edge groove you see on the base layer is done on 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" wide belts but not on 1-3/4".
The edges of the double layer leather gun belts are beveled, burnished and dyed. This is also a great belt to wear even without a firearm. Makes a great work belt. The two layer gun belt on the right is tan on black harness leather with a solid brass roller buckle. The double layer leather gun belts are available in 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 1-3/4" widths. These leather gun belts can also be ordered tapered to 3/4", 1" and 1-1/4". 
The above double layer gun belt is 1-1/4" wide tan harness leather with a solid brass roller buckle. 
Pictured to the right is a tapered double layer gun belt made with black and medium brown bridle leather. Shown are four pictures of the same belt with front, side and back views. The taper is 1-1/2" to 1" with a 1" nickel oval center bar buckle (buckle #9.1). As you can see, the the top layer covers the wide area of the belt and the narrow area of the belt is one layer.
Harness Leather Colors: Leather gun belts can be ordered in six colors of harness leather and six colors of bridle leather. For harness leather we hand dye each belt to your preferred color. Harness leather colors shown below (left to right) is natural, tan, light brown, medium brown, dark brown and black.
Bridle Leather Colors: Bridle leather colors are tan, chestnut, medium brown, british medium brown, dark brown and black.

The black on black leather gun belt on the left has two keeper loops. Normally I make the belt 1" longer and punch six holes when two keeper loops are ordered with these gun belts. There are three holes longer and two shorter from the center hole. The reason for this is because our two layer leather gun belts may have thicker leather than the regular belt you measured plus in winter with heaver clothing you may want to let the belt out one hole and the two keepers require a longer belt.
